Good bye Alexander

When you see someone so talented and amazing in the prime of life it just hits you right in the guts when you find that they have passed on and it is more devastating to learn that it was by their own hand. You wonder why they didn’t get help, what was it that they felt like they couldn’t live with, about their life. Their pain was so real to them and they hid it so well until they couldn’t anymore.

Alexander McQueen was an amazing designer. He is one of my biggest inspirations and everything he did just blew me away every season. Handsome and such a genius with the world at his feet, we all bow at what he brought to the world of Fashion.

I didn’t know him personally but I didn’t have to I wish he would have realized what he did to virtual strangers all over the globe. Even if you weren’t into Fashion most people knew him and his work. It is still so profoundly heartbreaking despite me never meeting him and I can only image how his friends and family feel. Having gone through losing someone more than once to suicide I hope people realize that there are options and people love you and want to help you. Many people are left to pick up the pieces of what you leave behind and it hurts so many.

On this week of love please remember to love those close to you, friends and family as well as your significant other if you have one. This world could always use more love it is too bad Mr. McQueen didn’t recognize that he had that and get help if you need it, there are people out there.
